The character of God is flawless. His ways are holy and good. He will not allow the enemy of my soul to have the last word.

I can say with certainty that I am more sure now than I was before that God is God. He is good. He will redeem, restore and resurrect.

God reached down and raised me up from the depths of despair. He dragged me out of the pit of sorrow.

If I can only praise a God who spares me, I have no songs to sing. But if I can praise the God who loves me then I can always rejoice.

Know that the Lord God loves you. He LOVES you. He loves YOU.

I am so, so thankful that the God I serve loves me. He specifically, purposefully loves me with unconditional love.

God IS love. Scripture says so. But God is also a fierce Father who will protect His children.

Your story matters. It’s being written to be shared as a testimony to God’s goodness, His faithful love and His enabling grace.

God does not always intervene. But He always comes alongside. He always offers comfort and promises that grief doesn’t last forever.

This life of travail won’t last forever either. By death or transformation, we will be freed from this earthly tent.

My Heavenly Father's love is strong enough to hold me fast no matter what perils I face.

My heart can forget the truth when life falls apart. It's then I must remind it that God is faithful and His love endures forever.

You think...that you are forgotten because of your nothingness and weakness and poverty. This is the very reason you are remembered.

A pastor friend says, “Your misery is your ministry.” I think he’s right.

Life is hard. Death is awful. But thanks to Jesus, death doesn't have the last word.

Lord, this season reminds me that whenever I am weak, You are strong. Is it alright if I grieve around You? I have to act strong...

 I walk in two worlds–on earth and in heaven.  I savor the sweet joy of the “now” but ache for the even sweeter joy of the “forever”.

I’m learning to let go of offense. Not only because it is too heavy to carry in addition to my grief, but because the Lord commanded it.

Christ came for the broken.  It’s the broken and breathless who long for the Spirit to blow life across their wounded hearts.
